Basketball Recap: Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf Falls to Ohio School for the Deaf in First Game of Season

Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 45-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ohio School for the Deaf Spartans on Wednesday. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Spartans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2019.

Ohio School for the Deaf pushed their record up to 3-5 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf will head out to square off against Ohio School for the Deaf at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Ohio School for the Deaf, they are taking a road trip to face off against Indiana School for the Deaf at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
