Baseball Recap: Salem Comes Up Short

Salem and Callaway squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Salem had to settle for second. They lost 15-0 to the Cavaliers. The Seminoles were red-hot at the plate heading into the contest (they scored no less than ten runs in the three games prior), but the Cavaliers' pitchers proved too tough.

Salem moved to 12-8 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Callaway, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 19-12.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Cavaliers beat Salem by a score of 15-0 later that day.
