Soccer Game Preview: Baldwin Park vs. Nogales

The Baldwin Park Braves will venture away from home to challenge the Nogales Nobles at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Baldwin Park's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for eight straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Baldwin Park fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Azusa on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Aztecs by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, the Braves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 1038th, while the Aztecs are ranked 336th).

Meanwhile, Nogales came up short against Azusa on Thursday and fell 3-1. The Nobles have struggled against the Aztecs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Baldwin Park's loss dropped their record down to 2-8-2. As for Nogales, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-11-2.
