Softball Recap: Dawson County Makes It Three in a Row on the Road

Dawson County barely beat North Hall the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Tigers' pitcher stepped up to hand the Trojans an 8-0 shutout on Thursday. Considering the Tigers have won seven matches by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The result came thanks to Madison Dudney's shutout, as she gave up just six hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Sadie Dotson, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in August of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryce Greenwood, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI.

Dawson County pushed their record up to 10-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for North Hall, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-3.

Looking ahead, Dawson County will host Chestatee at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for North Hall, they will head out to face off against Union County at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Panthers' pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so the Trojans' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
