Softball Recap: Collins-Maxwell Takes a Loss

Collins-Maxwell fell victim to West Liberty and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They lost 13-0 to the Comets. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, Collins-Maxwell's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Collins-Maxwell has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-5 record this season. As for West Liberty, their victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-3.

Collins-Maxwell wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 16-6 loss against Oskaloosa on the 21st. As for West Liberty, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-5 defeat against Fairfield on the 21st.
