Football Recap: Quinter Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Quinter's offense. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 50-0 to the Trego Golden Eagles, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The loss continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Golden Eagles: they've now lost four in a row.

It was another big night for Ashton Wynn, who rushed for 78 yards and two TDs on only eight carries, and also threw for 83 yards and four touchdowns for Trego. Those four passing touchdowns gave Wynn a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jack Conness, who rushed for 105 yards and one score.

Quinter's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Trego, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

Quinter does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Trego, they will be playing at home against St. Francis at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
