Recap: Mt. Carmel Sundevils vs. Westview Wolverines

The Mt. Carmel Sundevils's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their seventh straight loss. They were beaten by Westview 93-26. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Mt. Carmel has scored all season.

Mt. Carmel struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Westview racked up 28 assists.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Westview to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sarah Heyn, who scored 18 points along with nine assists. The match was Heyn's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Mia Jacobson, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

Mt. Carmel bumped their record down to 2-7 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Westview, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

Mt. Carmel will be home for the holidays to greet San Marcos at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. San Marcos is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 54.3 points per game. Westview will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against O'Connor at 6:00 p.m. on December 18th. O'Connor is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
