Softball Recap: Grandview Takes a Loss

Grandview had lost four straight on the road, but on Saturday they dropped down to 11-8 to make it five. They fell just short of the Arapahoe Warriors by a score of 10-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Wolves have suffered since August 22nd.

Sasha Kennedy was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last seven games she's played. Another player making a difference was Monroe Donaldson, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

As for Arapahoe, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-7. The high-scoring effort was just what they needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

On Arapahoe's side, they got a massive performance out of Delaney Cooper, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and four RBI. That's the most RBI Cooper has posted since back in August. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabella Knox, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Grandview wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 10-4 victory against Cherry Creek on the 30th. As for Arapahoe, they have also already played their next matchup, a 4-2 defeat against Eaglecrest on the 30th.
