Soccer Game Preview: Amador vs. Argonaut

The Amador Buffaloes will challenge the Argonaut Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Amador's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for seven straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Friday just wasn't the day for Amador's offense. They fell just short of El Dorado by a score of 1-0 on Friday.

Meanwhile, Argonaut was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of Rosemont. The game was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Mustangs couldn't quite close it out.

Argonaut's defeat dropped their record down to 12-8-2. As for Amador, their loss dropped their record down to 1-13-3.

Amador might still be hurting after the 7-1 defeat they got from Argonaut in their previous meeting back in January. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Amador was down 5-0.
