Basketball Game Preview: Moorpark Musketeers vs. Dos Pueblos Chargers

Having just played yesterday, the Moorpark Musketeers will jump right back in to play the Dos Pueblos Chargers at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Moorpark's tournament run continued when they took on Palmdale on Wednesday. The Musketeers breezed past the Falcons to the tune of 67-21.

Moorpark found their leader in sophomore Aubrey Buchanan, who went 10-for-20 en route to 22 points and five boards. Carissa Smith was another key player, putting up 11 points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Dos Pueblos didn't have too much trouble with Westlake on Tuesday as they won 59-41. The Chargers pushed the score to 48-26 by the end of the third, a deficit the Warriors cut but never quite recovered from.

Moorpark's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Dos Pueblos, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Moorpark couldn't quite get it done against Dos Pueblos when the teams last played back in December of 2019 as they fell 64-55. Can the Musketeers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
