Football Game Preview: Grand Meadow vs. Mabel-Canton

Mabel-Canton may have come out ahead in their last game, but they shouldn't get too cocky given who is up next. On Friday they take on Grand Meadow at 7:00 PM. The MaxPreps rankings say the odds are against Mabel-Canton, but that can only make success all the sweeter.

Their game two weeks ago wasn't at all kind to Mabel-Canton, but their most recent matchup may have softened the blow. They were able to grind out a solid win over Lyle/Pacelli last Friday, winning 36-26. The high-flying offensive effort was a definite turnaround from Mabel-Canton's flat performance the matchup before.

Meanwhile, it was all tied up at the half for Grand Meadow and LeRoy-Ostrander, but Grand Meadow stepped up in the second half. Grand Meadow walked away with a 19-12 victory over LeRoy-Ostrander.

Mabel-Canton found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 22-52 punch to the gut against Grand Meadow the last time the two teams met. The loss knocked Mabel-Canton out of the playoffs, so expect them to come at Grand Meadow with a vengeful fire.
