Basketball Recap: Cajon Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Eunaysia Nolley and Kylah Guillory

Cajon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 44-38 heartbreaker at the hands of the Redlands East Valley Wildcats. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cowboys this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 50-35 on January 7th.

Cajon's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Kylah Guillory, who posted nine points along with eight boards and three steals, and Eunaysia Nolley, who had seven points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals. Guillory is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played.

Cajon's defeat dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Redlands East Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season.

Cajon has already played their next contest (against Redlands), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Redlands East Valley will welcome Yucaipa at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
