Volleyball Recap: Willcox Comes Up Short

Willcox suffered their biggest loss since September 27th on Wednesday. They lost 3-0 to the Desert Christian Eagles. The Cowboys were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

While Willcox was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-17, 25-21.

Willcox's loss dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Desert Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-8 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Willcox will challenge rival Santa Rita at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Desert Christian is set to face off against their familiar foe Bisbee at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
