La Jolla Country Day lost to Cathedral Catholic back in May of 2021, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The La Jolla Country Day Torreys simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Cathedral Catholic Dons 47-20. The Torreys have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 22 points or more this season.

La Jolla Country Day got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Mei-Ling Perry out in front who almost dropped a double-double with 11 points and nine boards. Another player making a difference was Atlanta Bass-Sulpizio, who went 6 for 10 en route to 12 points and five rebounds.

La Jolla Country Day smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in three consecutive matchups.

Several Dons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Mckinnley Hanlon, who posted seven points. Hanlon has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last nine times she's played. Khloe Lopez also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

La Jolla Country Day's record is now 14-9. As for Cathedral Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-5.

La Jolla Country Day has already played their next game, a 65-20 win against St. Joseph Academy on the 7th. As for Cathedral Catholic, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 46-33 loss against Westview on the 3rd.
