Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wheat Ridge). They put the hurt on the Alameda Pirates with a sharp 14-0 victory on Saturday. The Farmers haven't had any issues with the Pirates recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Wheat Ridge's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4-1. As for Alameda, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wheat Ridge will host Jefferson Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Alameda, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Aurora Central at 4:00 p.m. The Trojans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.4 runs per game on average), something the Pirates will no doubt try to take advantage of.
