Basketball Recap: Aquinas Takes a Loss

It was a Battle of the Birds when Aquinas took on Arrowhead Christian on Wednesday. The Aquinas Falcons fell just short of the Arrowhead Christian Eagles by a score of 42-39. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Falcons have suffered since January 6th.

Despite the defeat, Aquinas saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Rachelle LoBianco posted 19 points and five boards. That's the most points LoBianco has posted since back in November of 2023. Jordyn Williams was another key player, putting up two points along with 11 rebounds and three blocks.

Aquinas has traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 12 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-17 record this season. As for Arrowhead Christian, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 13-8 record.

As of now, neither Aquinas nor Arrowhead Christian have any future games scheduled.
