Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Newport Harbor). They never let the Fountain Valley Barons onto the board and left with an 8-0 victory on Thursday. The Sailors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by three goals or more this season.

Newport Harbor has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-3-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up three goals over those ten matches. As for Fountain Valley, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-7-3.

Newport Harbor has already played their next game, a 4-0 win against Huntington Beach on the 3rd. As for Fountain Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Marina on the 3rd.
