Basketball Recap: Lakeview Charter Skates Past Community Charter with Ease

Lakeview Charter had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They blew past the Community Charter Titans 60-17. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 26 points or more this season.

Lakeview Charter had a senior duo take command as Evelyn Quinonez dropped a double-double on 19 points and 14 steals and Liliana Word went 8 of 20 on her way to 18 points along with seven boards and six assists. Quinonez has been hot for a while, having posted three or more steals the last 14 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Heyli Edwards, who posted eight points.

Lakeview Charter was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in November of 2024.
