Redwood skates past Mt. Whitney with ease

Recap: Redwood Rangers vs. Mt. Whitney Pioneers
The Redwood Rangers posted their biggest victory since December 21, 2023 on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 55-23 victory over Mt. Whitney at home. Given Redwood's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 403rd, while Mt. Whitney is ranked 865th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Redwood used a three-pronged attack on offense:
Jordan Powell,
Aryel Chavez, and
Brooklyn Tayo posted two points each.
The victory makes it two in a row for Redwood and bumps their season record up to 12-10. As for Mt. Whitney, they dropped their record down to 11-11 with that defeat, which was their 11th straight on the road.
Redwood will be playing at home against El Diamante at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Mt. Whitney on the road again on Thursday and play against Porterville at 7:30 p.m. on January 25th.
