Football Recap: Axtell Skates Past Wakefield with Ease

Axtell got themselves on the board against Wakefield on Friday, but Wakefield never followed suit. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Bombers 46-0. Fans of the Eagles have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Axtell's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Wakefield, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Coming up, Axtell will head out on the road to challenge St. Paul at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will be up against the Indians' rather soft defense (which has allowed 42.6 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Wakefield, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Hanover at 7:00 p.m. The Wildcats' defense has only allowed 2.8 points per game this season, so the Bombers' offense will have their work cut out for them.
