Preview: Madera South Stallions vs. Madera Coyotes
The Madera South Stallions will head out on the road to face off against the Madera Coyotes at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Madera took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Madera South, who comes in off a win.
Last Saturday, Madera South humbled Woodlake with a 52-11 victory. The win made it back-to-back wins for Madera South.
Madera South's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from BRIANNAH LORTA, who scored 19 points. The matchup was LORTA's 11th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was JALISSA KIRKPATRICK, who scored 13 points.
Meanwhile, Madera's game on Saturday was all tied up 15-15 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of Mendota by a score of 26-24. Having soared to a lofty 66 points in the game before, Madera couldn't push the score so high this time.
Madera South's victory bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Madera, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.
Madera South didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Madera in their previous meeting back in November of 2022, but they still walked away with a 39-33 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Madera South since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
