Basketball Recap: Potter Valley Takes a Loss

Potter Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 31st straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Point Arena Pirates, falling 75-11. The Bearcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-5.

Hattie Piper was her usual excellent self, putting up 14 points for Point Arena. Another player making a difference was Giselle Mejia Fuentes, who posted 11 points.

Potter Valley's loss dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Point Arena, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season.

As of now, neither Potter Valley nor Point Arena have any future games scheduled.
