While Fruita Monument's win against Palisade wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Wildcats narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Bulldogs 3-1. The win was familiar territory for the Wildcats, who have now won ten matchups in a row.

Teagan Clements spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Lauren Englehart, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Fruita Monument's victory bumped their record up to 15-3. As for Palisade, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-7.
