Soccer Recap: Corona Del Mar Snaps Eight-Game Streak of Wins at Home

If Corona del Mar was feeling good fresh off their 11-0 takedown of Diamond Bar last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Corona del Mar Sea Kings came up short against the Los Alamitos Griffins on Tuesday, falling 4-0. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Sea Kings came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 22nd, while the Griffins are ranked 90th).

Corona del Mar's loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-2. As for Los Alamitos, they moved to 7-5-3 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Corona del Mar will face off against Edison at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Edison will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Corona del Mar surely won't give up without a fight. As for Los Alamitos, they will host Marina at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Los Alamitos is facing Marina at the right time seeing as Marina is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
