Soccer Game Preview: Badger vs. United

The Badger Braves will square off against the United Golden Eagles at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Badger comes in on five and United on four.

On Thursday, Badger needed a bit of extra time to put away South Range. They never let the Raiders get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. Give Badger's defense some credit: that's the team's fourth straight shutout.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Tristan Sawtelle, who's now up to 16 this season.

Cornerstone Christian typically has all the answers at home, but on Wednesday United proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Patriots. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but United were the better team in the second half.

Badger's win bumped their record up to 14-5. As for United, their victory bumped their record up to 9-7-2.

Badger took their win against United when the teams last played back in August by a conclusive 7-3 score. Will the Braves repeat their success, or do the Golden Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
