Baseball Recap: Hephzibah Comes Up Short

Hephzibah managed to slip by Greene County the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Rebels lost 15-9 to the Tigers on Friday. The Rebels were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 12-10.

Joel Mendez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two doubles. Christopher Kohn was another key player, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with five stolen bases and one run.

Hephzibah has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-17 record this season. As for Greene County, the win snapped their losing streak at ten games and leaves them with a 3-11 record.

As of now, neither Hephzibah nor the Tigers have any future games scheduled.
