It was a good run, but Jeff Davis unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Brantley County Herons by a score of 3-2. The Yellowjackets were red-hot at the plate heading into the matchup (they scored no less than ten runs in the four contests prior), but the Herons' pitchers proved too tough.

Jeff Davis' defeat dropped their record down to 12-4. As for Brantley County, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-7-1 record this season.

While Jeff Davis had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
