Baseball Recap: Edgerton Comes Up Short

If Edgerton was riding high fresh off their 10-0 takedown of Gorham Fayette on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Tinora Rams by a score of 5-4 on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 back in April.

Parker Elden was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one stolen base. He has become a key player for Edgerton: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least three RBI, but 10-11-1 otherwise.

Edgerton's loss dropped their record down to 12-12-1. As for Tinora, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 17 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-5-1 record this season.

Edgerton will look to defend their home field on Thursday against North Central at 7:00 p.m. Tinora does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
