Basketball Recap: Berean Christian Takes a Loss

After flying high against Concord last Wednesday, Berean Christian came back down to earth. The Berean Christian Eagles were beaten by the Acalanes Dons 87-19 on Friday. The game marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Berean Christian's defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Acalanes, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Berean Christian will venture away from home to face off against Northgate at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Northgate has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Acalanes, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against St. Mary's at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Acalanes' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
