Soccer Recap: Garfield Takes a Loss

Garfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bell Eagles. The game was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Bulldogs couldn't quite close it out.

Garfield's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9-2. As for Bell, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-9-4.

Garfield and Bell could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. Garfield will face off against Roosevelt at 4:00 p.m. on Monday down 879 places (987 vs. 108). Meanwhile, Bell (ranked 783rd) will meet Legacy (ranked 270th) at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
