Soccer Recap: Des Moines Christian Comes Up Short

After flying high against Prairie City-Monroe last Monday, Des Moines Christian came back down to earth. The Lions fell 2-0 to the Gilbert Tigers on Thursday. The contest was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Des Moines Christian couldn't quite close it out.

Des Moines Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Gilbert, they now have a winning record of 1-0-5.

Looking ahead, Des Moines Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against Gladbrook-Reinbeck at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Gilbert, they will head out to challenge Ballard at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
