Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Charter Oak). Everything went their way against the Covina Colts on Monday as the Charter Oak Chargers made off with a 6-1 win. It was an even better day for Avery Zernickow as she scored three goals for her team.

The victory got Charter Oak back to even at 8-8-1. As for Covina, they dropped their record down to 4-10-1 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Charter Oak has already played their next matchup (against West Covina), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Covina will look to defend their home pitch on Wednesday against Wilson at 5:30 p.m. Wilson will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Covina surely won't give up without a fight.
