Softball Recap: Gretna Dragons vs. Standing Bear Grizzlies
Gretna won the last time they faced Standing Bear and things went their way on Monday too. The Dragons came out on top against the Grizzlies by a score of 7-3. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Dragons.
The team relied heavily on Maddie Kurrus, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in August. Megan Marshall was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
Gretna's victory bumped their record up to 19-6. As for Standing Bear, they dropped their record down to 12-11 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
Coming up, Gretna will venture away from home to face off against Waverly at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
