Soccer Game Preview: Rootstown vs. Grand Valley

The Rootstown Rovers will take on the Grand Valley Mustangs in a tournament on Thursday. Both teams beat their previous opponents by a single goal, so this matchup might be just as contested.

Rootstown saw some tournament action on Saturday. They won by a goal and slipped past Columbia 3-2. Rootstown better thank their lucky stars for the performance of Zach Pastor, as he scored every single goal for his team.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Thursday Grand Valley sidestepped John F. Kennedy Catholic for a 2-1 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for Grand Valley.

Rootstown's win bumped their record up to 12-4-1. As for Grand Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 10-7.
