Hilltop has gone 8-1-1 against Southwest SD recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Hilltop Lancers will head out to challenge the Southwest SD Raiders at 5:30 p.m. Hilltop is coming into the match hot, having won their last seven games.

Hilltop can't be too worried about heading out to take on Southwest SD: they just beat Calexico at home, who had been dominant on their own pitch up to that point. Hilltop had just enough and edged Calexico out 2-1 on Friday. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but the Lancers were the better team in the second half.

Hannah Gomez and Cristina Sanchez scored both of Hilltop's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 13 goals.

Meanwhile, Southwest SD managed to keep up with Montgomery until halftime on Thursday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Southwest SD came up short against Montgomery, falling 5-2.

Southwest SD now has a losing record at 8-9-1. As for Hilltop, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-5-1.

Hilltop came out on top in a nail-biter against Southwest SD in their previous meeting back in January, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hilltop since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
