Baseball Game Preview: Carlisle Bison vs. Lebanon Cedars

The Carlisle Bison will venture away from home to square off against the Lebanon Cedars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with seven consecutive losses for Carlisle and 17 for Lebanon.

On Thursday, Carlisle didn't have quite enough to beat Central Dauphin East and fell 5-4.

Carlisle got a good showing from Carter Welker, who pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the first time Welker hasn't allowed a single earned run since back in March.

On the hitting side, Carlisle saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Colby Focht, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Lebanon came up short against J.P. McCaskey on Tuesday and fell 8-3.

Diego Serrano put in work no matter where he played. He struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Serrano was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Carlisle's record now sits at 5-13. As for Lebanon, their record is now 0-17.

Carlisle got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in May of 2025 against Lebanon by a conclusive 13-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bison since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
