Baseball Recap: Morrow Comes Up Short

If Morrow was riding high fresh off their 10-2 takedown of M.L. King last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Morrow Mustangs came up short against the Spalding Jaguars on Monday, falling 16-6.

Malachi Mingo was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-2. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in stolen bases. Zoran Galloway was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Morrow now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Spalding, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Morrow will welcome Jonesboro at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Spalding, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Sandy Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
