Basketball Recap: Tyjae Hanible's Big Game Can't Quite Lead High School of the Future over Thomas A. Edison

High School of the Future was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 35-15 to the Thomas A. Edison Owls. High School of the Future was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Thomas A. Edison apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.

High School of the Future lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Tyjae Hanible, who posted six points.

Leading Thomas A. Edison to victory were Marcaiyah Colon and Dailyanis Nunez. Colon put up 11 points, while Nunez earned 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ayonna Perez-Pippen, who had six points.

High School of the Future's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Thomas A. Edison, their record is now 2-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. High School of the Future and West Philadelphia will compete for holiday cheer at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Thomas A. Edison, they are taking a road trip to face off against Little Flower Catholic for Girls at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Little Flower Catholic for Girls' defense has only allowed 28 points per game this season, so Thomas A. Edison's offense will have their work cut out for them.
