Pope had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Denmark a 12-0 shutout. Considering the Greyhounds have won ten contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Pope's victory bumped their record up to 14-8. As for Denmark, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-4.

Pope didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 5-4 defeat against North Oconee on the 26th. As for Denmark, they will welcome Lambert at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
