Basketball Game Preview: Brawley Wildcats vs. Holtville Vikings

Brawley hasn't had much luck against Holtville recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Brawley Wildcats will welcome the Holtville Vikings at 7:00 p.m. Brawley will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Last Thursday, Brawley blew past Calipatria, posting a 60-30 win.

Brawley's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isabella Trujillo, who posted 11 points. That's the most points Trujillo has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kayleen Pacheco, who put up nine points.

Holtville fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They came out on top against Southwest EC by a score of 37-27 on Thursday.

Holtville's victory bumped their record up to 6-12. As for Brawley, their win bumped their record up to 10-11.

Brawley took their victory against Holtville in their previous meeting two weeks ago by a conclusive 50-24. Will Brawley repeat their success, or does Holtville have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
