West Laurens's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Westside Patriots a 15-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Raiders, who have now won nine matches by six runs or more so far this season.

West Laurens' victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Westside, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-6.

When West Laurens and Westside next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. West Laurens will challenge Morgan County and their four-game winning streak at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Westside will try to stop Harlem's 14-game winning streak when they meet at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
