Baseball Recap: Campbell Comes Up Short

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three games, Campbell finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Harrison Hoyas. The Spartans were not able to make up for their defeat to the Hoyas from their previous meeting back in March of 2025.

Max Lopez was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits.

Campbell's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Harrison, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.

While Campbell had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
