Basketball Game Preview: Queen Creek Bulldogs vs. Higley Knights

The Queen Creek Bulldogs will venture away from home to square off against the Higley Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Queen Creek has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Queen Creek will bounce into Friday's game after beating Desert Ridge, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Queen Creek snuck past Desert Ridge with a 41-35 victory on Tuesday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Bulldogs as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

It was another big night for Amaya Rodgers, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten steals. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 2 blocks per game. Jessenia Attson was another key player, putting up two points and ten boards.

Meanwhile, Higley came up short against Williams Field on Tuesday and fell 56-45. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Higley's defeat dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Queen Creek, their victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 6-16.

Queen Creek suffered a grim 63-42 defeat to Higley in their previous meeting on January 10th. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Higley's Cadence Murdough, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 14 rebounds.
