Soccer Recap: Sullivan County Comes Up Short

Sullivan County lost against Southern Columbia Area back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Griffins came up short against the Tigers, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, Sullivan County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 478th, while Southern Columbia Area are ranked 191st).

Sullivan County was without their leading scorer, Tucker Blasi, in Saturday's contest. With Blasi sitting this one out, Madden Fries got some extra time on the pitch (75 vs. his season average of 44.5).

Sullivan County is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-14. As for Southern Columbia Area, their win bumped their record up to 10-5-1.

Coming up, Sullivan County will head out on the road to challenge Millville at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Southern Columbia Area, they will look to defend their home pitch on Monday against Danville at 6:00 p.m.
