Eaglecrest proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by 15) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Arapahoe Warriors 4-2. That's more bragging rights for the Raptors, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Zaya Elliott spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Eaglecrest saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Giana Vialpando Williams, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Eaglecrest has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 8.9 runs. As for Arapahoe, their loss dropped their record down to 11-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eaglecrest will take on Broomfield at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Arapahoe, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Pine Creek at 10:00 a.m. on the 11th.
