Fort Bend Elkins came into Friday's   matchup looking for another win against Fort Bend Bush, but  Jamir Young wouldn't allow it. The Broncos snuck past the Knights with  a  28-24 win on Friday thanks in part to  Young, who rushed for 111 yards on only 12 carries, and also threw for 84 yards and one  touchdown. He has become a key player for Fort Bend Bush: the team is 3-1 when he posts  at  least  80  rushing yards, but 1-2 otherwise.
 Fort Bend Bush's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB  seven times. The heavy lifting was done by  David Nwanodu and  TJ Isiorho, who racked up  five sacks between them. Nwanodu has been hot recently, having also posted six or more  total tackles the last three times he's  played.  Fort Bend Bush and Fort Bend Elkins will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next  contests. The next time the Broncos see the field they'll take on Fort Bend Travis  at 1:00  p.m.  on  the 25th. As for Fort Bend Elkins, their break will end when they face Fort Bend Dulles  at 7:00  p.m.  on  the 23rd.
