Baseball Recap: Grovetown Comes Up Short

Grovetown came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Grayson Rams, falling 15-5.

Grovetown saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Owen McClellon, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double. Those two RBI gave McClellon a new career-high.

Grovetown has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season. The win (which was Grayson's sixth in a row) raised their record to 11-5.

While Grovetown had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:55 p.m. on Wednesday.
