Baseball Recap: Atlanta Jewish Academy Starts Season with Win on the Road

Atlanta Jewish Academy had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against the Heritage Preparatory Rams by a score of 5-1.

The team relied heavily on Jonny Wilson, who scored a run while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in hits (three). Another player making a difference was Micha Lembeck, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Heritage Preparatory's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Atlanta Jewish Academy will face off against Riverside Military Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Heritage Preparatory will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Holy Spirit Prep at 4:00 p.m. on March 10th.
