Basketball Recap: Norwin Takes a Loss

Norwin was the 49-30 winner over South Fayette when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Norwin Knights took a 48-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of the South Fayette Lions on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 54th, while the Lions are ranked fourth).

Norwin's defeat dropped their record down to 10-8. As for South Fayette, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Norwin will face off against Canon-McMillan at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Fayette, they will head out to take on Chartiers Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
