After a string of five wins, Saugus's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They took a 40-26 bruising from the Village Christian Crusaders. The matchup marked the Centurions' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Village Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Madison Mulligan, who went 5 of 8 on her way to 15 points and six rebounds. The contest was Mulligan's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddy Boquiren, who posted ten points.

Saugus now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Village Christian, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-6.

Saugus didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 44-29 win against Heritage Christian on the 3rd. As for Village Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 52-27 victory against Whittier Christian on the 3rd.
